7 Things (Well, 14, Really)

First, thanks again from the beans (and us) for all the kind thoughts 'bout Tippy. Now, we got tagged a loooong time ago by Tiger Lily for the 7 Random Facts Meme, and we finally got Mom to sit down and help us type it out!

Here are the rules:

* Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves.
* Cats who are tagged need to write on their own blog about the seven things and the rules.
* You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names.
* Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your blog!

Smeagol: I'll go first, since I came to live here first!

1. My name used to be Peppy (before I came to live here). It really fit my purrsonality, but so does Smeagol (plus I get called Gollum when I go to the v-e-t!)
2. My favorite way to drink water is out of a bottle (like the ones hamsters use), and Mom has to hold it for me. I'm furry insistent when I want my water! (I do drink out of the bowl though, if I'm thirsty and Mom's not around).
3. The kind of fev-ver I like best is a crow 'cause it's big and black like me.
4. I don't like loud noises, and before Dad grinds the coffee, he says "Ready, set..." to warn me so I can leave the room if I want.
5. I'm a big man cat, but I have a tiny meow.
6. BUT I don't have a tiny meow when I go to the v-e-t. Efurry time I go, they think there are two cats in the room fighting, I make so much noise!
7. I'll sit on Mom or Dad's lap, but not by myself (they have to come get me).

Strider: My turn!

1. I have to check the shower out efurry morning before Dad or Mom get in.
2. My favorite way to drink is out of the faucet, but only if Mom gets it to drip just right.
3. When I see the neighbor woofies outside (I've never met them) I growl at them.
4. I'm a little man cat, but I have a big meow.
5. I'm not afraid of thunder or most other loud noises. Mom thinks maybe it's 'cause I lived outside for awhile before I came to live here.
6. I love to rub on Mom's feet, especially when she's brushin' her teeth. Sometimes I get carried away and claw or bite them, and she makes loud noises.
7. I think the only laptop Mom should have is me (at least in the winter, when it's cold).

Since we're so late in doin' this, we're purrty sure efurryone else has already done this meme. If not and you want to, you're tagged!

This was fun! We seem to be opposites in a lot of things. Oh, we did get to go to the drive-in, but we didn't really watch the movies much. There was lotsa other different stuff to look at and people walkin' by. We liked the popcorn, but Mom and Dad didn't let us have much of it.

Pictures of Tippy

First, we (and Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and Dad) want to say thank you for all of the kind thoughts, purrayers, purrs, hugs, headbutts and nuzzles. They really mean so much and help a lot.

Tippy (about 3 years old) and Koby (her woofie furriend who went to the Bridge in 1994).

She was mostly black with a light brown spot on her head, some white above her right eye (like an eyebrow) and some "freckles" (more brown spots) on her face. Also, the very tip of her tail was white (guess how she got her name!)

She loved to play in bags and her favorite way to eat her crunchy food was to chase it across the floor - Mom or Grandma had to flick it for her so that she could chase it. If she didn't like the way it was flicked, she might still go after it but wouldn't eat it! She was furry good at catchin' it (she prob'ly would have been good at tub hockey/soccer!) She didn't mind bein' picked up, but she had to climb up on the beans' shoulders so she could see efurrything that was goin' on.

Aunt Tippy

Our Aunt Tippy wented to the Bridge this morning. She just turned 17 and wasn't doin' so great lately (kidney problems and dislocated hip, but that was healin'). She went to bed with Grandma last night and just didn't wake up this morning. She's the kitty who taught our Dad how great it is to have us cats around, 'cause until he met her, he wasn't too sure. We mentioned this before, but Mom brought her home just after she started school and told our Grandma that she found this little kitten all alone on the side of the road (but she really drove to a nearby town to get her 'cause she saw an ad for free kittens in the paper). We want to post a picture of her, but Mom says she's gonna have to find one and scan it, so we might not get it up 'til this weekend.

Spring's Here... We Think

Well, it seems like Spring is finally here, but we're not sure we trust it, 'cause it did this to us before and then it got really cold again and snowed. Mom put the shovel away, so that's gotta be a good sign, right? (Though we did hear her mumble somethin' about as soon as she puts the shovel away it'll snow again.) It got HOT the other day (81 degrees!), but now it's just kinda not as cold as before.

Mom and Dad got their new belts, and they said thanks for all the good wishes! We still think it's kinda silly though, 'cause they didn't even get actual new belts, Mom said they keep the same ones they already had, but their rank changes. They were really excited though, and they were also happy 'cause all of their students got new belts too (and they really did get new belts)!

Mom's still furry busy with work, and when she comes home she's too tired to do much of anything, so it looks like we're gonna have to wait longer for her to help us much with postin' or commentin'. Thanks to efurryone for visitin' us, though! Oh, and the Drive-In is openin' this weekend, so we might be goin' for a ride to see some movies (we don't mind bein' in the car as long as it's not takin' us to the v-e-t)!
