Weekend at Home

Finally Mom and Dad stayed home with us for a weekend!! What we were supposed to do was go to visit Mom's aunt and uncle who live a few hours away (all of us - we don't mind travelin'), but plans got changed, so we had a nice weekend all to ourselves at home. We took turns layin' on Mom and Dad so they couldn't get up and go out, 'cause we know that once we're layin' on them, they can't get up until we do, no matter what they have to do!! It was good stress-relief for them too, 'cause they had problems with both of the monsters with wheels a few days ago and we could tell what they really needed was to just relax for once!! We also entertained them by runnin' through the house at top speed, chasin' each other and wrestlin'. Now we're tired and just hangin' out in front of the open windows. It's still warm here, but it's cool at night sometimes and we know that soon (too soon for us!) we won't be able to have the windows open 'cause it'll be cold (but good snugglin' weather). Oh, Mom told us that we don't haves to worry 'bout those woofies (in our last post) comin' to our house, she said her dad has someone who takes care of them when he travels. Phew, we're relieved to hear that!!

I used to love it when my OTW stayed home all weekend too. Now she's home all the time, and the Big One is home most of the time, so we get lots of attention. But not enough. My OTW is usually on the computer and she got a new desk that's really high up and I don't like it. I think she needs to come down on the couch and give me more laps.

I'm glad the you don't have to deal with woofies staying with you. Woofies are a problem.

PS. Thank you for coming by and leaving a nice message when Grumpybutt went to the Bridge. We still miss him.

PPS. We'll be having a party soon! My 1st Blogoversary is soon too so we're gonna have a Birthday/Blogoversary party!

I hope you're still getting some good snuggle time in. I'm very glad you won't have woofies visiting. I know they are often very sweet, but I am just afraid of them. Like mommy is of spiders!

It is good when humans stay home and devote themselves to the kitties. My mum had a holiday from school today and she spent a lot of time providing me with a lap while we watched some trashy daytime TV to relax.

My mum wants to thank you for the purrs and good thoughts after her Very Bad Day on Wednesday. She has recovered slightly now and her colleagues bought her some chocolates to show their support. The repercussions of The Incident are still going on and one of her class has been expelled from the school and that is a Good Thing.

That sounds like the perfect weekend to me. I hope the problems with the monsters on wheels are fixed now.

Thank you so much for your purrs and purrayers. I really appreciate them. They seem to be working. My sister-in-law is improving and may be discharged and be able to come home Tuesday.
